ThreeTee.me Tab Stream is a free Chrome extension designed to facilitate seamless streaming of video and audio content into Second Life. By utilizing the Threetee.me service, users can share media from a browser tab, game, or application with friends in the virtual world. The extension supports royalty-free, open-source codecs such as VP8, VP9, and OPUS, which are compliant with the MPEG-DASH standard, ensuring a variety of streaming options including audio-only and multi-resolution video.
This extension is currently in active development, with additional features on the horizon, including anticipated support for iOS devices. The integration with Linden Lab's built-in browser and parcel media enhances the user experience, allowing for a dynamic and interactive sharing of media content within Second Life.
